Which Flute Choir Is Right For Me?
Silver Winds
Multi-level Choir
No audition required; however, you will find the experience most rewarding if you know fingerings and understand key and time signatures. (Minimum of two years experience recommended.)
This is the ideal choir for individuals who are new to the ensemble experience, as well as intermediate and advanced players who wish to play in a flute group but have limited time for rehearsals and individual practice. Please visit the "Silver Winds" page for details.
Silver Pipes
Intermediate Level
Requires audition, strong attendance, and individual practice.
Rehearses from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. on the 1st, 3rd (and 5th if there is one) Sundays of the month.
Please visit the "Silver Pipes" page for details, such as: audition dates, audition requirements, attendance policies, schedules, etc.
Second Winds
The "Second Winds" is not a flute choir, but rather a support group for adult amateur flute players.
Are you an adult returning to the flute after many years?"
Does the very thought of playing in front of people make you tremble with fear?
Do you have questions about flute-playing and music in general but are afraid to ask?
If you can answer "yes" to any of these questions, the Second Winds is the group for you!
Please visit the "Second Winds" page for more details.
Silver Fantasy
Advanced Level
Requires audition, strong attendance, and individual practice.
Rehearses most Sundays from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., with one Sunday a month off.
Please visit the "Silver Fantasy" page for details, such as: audition dates, audition requirements, attendance policies, schedules, etc.
