Audition Requirements

Two 2-octave major scales of your choice (one forte/loud and one piano/soft)
Chromatic scale from low C to high G (slurred)
Rhythm sheet (download here) at a metronome setting of 120 without stopping
Prepared piece
Sight-reading

The director will be assessing tone quality, rhythmic and technical accuracy, intonation, and range of dynamics.

You must schedule an audition time in advance with the director. If you cannot make the audition dates, please contact the director to schedule another time.

Rehearses from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. on the 1st, 3rd (and 5th if there is one) Sundays of the month. Check the rehearsal and performance schedule for more details, as September will be different.

flute choir fees

$30 Per Semester

This fee is in addition to the RAFA membership dues.

If membership dues have not been paid by the first rehearsal, you will be required to pay dues and choir fee at the first rehearsal. Please make checks payable to the Raleigh Area Flute Association, or RAFA.
